Shenise McGhee, Librarian/Professor at the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff. Her research interests include intellectual freedom, open education resources, assessment, marketing, information literacy instruction, and digital librarianship.  Shenise has been in academic librarianship for 14 years and enjoys working in reference and student success. She has published articles in the Arkansas Library Journal, Texas Library Journal, and Library Journal. Shenise is a reviewer for the Journal of New Librarianship. She has earned a Master of Science in Library Science and Two Graduate Academic Certificates in Advanced Management in Libraries and Information Agencies and Digital Content Management at the University of North Texas. A second Master of Science in Higher Education at Walden University is now completing courses toward a Doctorate in Higher Education with a specialization in Leadership and Management. Shenise has served and chairs state and national committees such as; Arkansas Library Association Board Member and Chair of the Intellectual Freedom Committee, Legislation Representative and Ex Officio Member ALA Advocacy and Policy Committee for the American Library Association, ALCTS Association for Library Collections Member, ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom- Committee Member, Chair for Gerald Hodges Intellectual Freedom Chapter Relations Award Committee. IFRT Coalition Building Intellectual Freedom Table Member, RUSA Reference and User Services Association-Professional Development Committee, and Black Caucus of the American Library Association.
