Amanda Jones is a teacher-librarian, reading specialist, and 20-year educator at Live Oak Middle School in Watson, LA. She is the 2021 School Library Journal Co-School Librarian of the Year, a 2021 Library Journal Mover & Shaker, the 2020 Louisiana School Librarian of the Year, and the AASL 2019 Social Media Superstar Program Pioneer. In addition to being a member of the Louisiana Young Readers’ Choice Awards 6-8 Committee, she also enjoys presenting at district, state, regional, and national conferences, and is on the Executive Board of the LA Association of School Librarians. She is on three committees for AASL and is an #AASL21 Social Media Co-chair for the upcoming national conference in Salt Lake City. Amanda is passionate about sharing strategies and networking with librarians across the country, and has been a featured guest on the School Librarians United podcast five times.
