When writing papers, students can often find the sources they want to use, but have no idea how to analyze and synthesize information in a meaningful way. The BEAM method asks students to categorize their sources according to use. This session will lead the "class" in a demonstration of how to use BEAM in a one-shot. While this session was created for a college-level composition course, it is useful for any context requiring research and source synthesis.
