A panel of representatives from Library Development District 3 (LDD3) will speak about exciting new collaborations spawned by a revival of Library Development Districts, a geographic designation of library groups set by the State Library decades ago. While initially designed for public libraries, today's "LDD3" includes libraries of all types from central Arkansas, recognizing the need for cross-training and collaboration between school, academic, special, and public libraries. LDD3 participants are communicating on a monthly basis to find ways to share money, resources, and library good will. Part of the session will be devoted to having library workers from other LDDs form groups to talk about future collaborations.
