Have you ever had an employee come to work with the worst attitude? Or that one employee that comes in that doesn't feel well and is sad? Have you stopped to ask them, how are you? Well, I do! As circulation supervisor, it is imperative that my staff is as upbeat and cheerful as possible so, we have 'Good Morning, How are you?' time, every morning, so that staff can vent to me and afterwards, try to have a good day. You'll be surprised at how much of a difference it makes in your staff, just to know that someone cares. In this session I will discuss how I go about asking about the staff's day and things I do to get the momentum flowing.
